    Verdict

    Starfighter has won on this surface but is far better on the all-weather. Convertible has only run once on Turf but did win that race at Redcar last year, though the going was soft on that occasion. However, he must go on the short-list and gets 4lb from El Ghazwani, who has been out of sorts. MR COCO BEAN looked to be coming to hand at Redcar 12 days ago and he races off his lowest mark since scoring over course and distance on fast ground in July 2019. With a tongue-tie fitted today, he should take all the beating.
