In depth

Verdict

Bal de Nuit, Tidour and Kalca Mome look the ones to concentrate on in this novices chase and the vote goes to Bal de Nuit. The five-year-old from the Paul Nicholls yard has won his last two races in good style he won well last time out when defeating Non So and he is taken to win again with conditions to suit en route to the festival. Tidour rates the main danger but he was beaten by Non So last time out and a strict reading of the form suggests he has plenty to find with the selection. Kalca Mome had looked good prior to being put in his place over course and distance behind Our Armageddon last time and he will find it hard to give weight and a beating to Bal de Nuit. Of the remainder Mister McGoldrick is from a yard in form and he could run well at a big price but we are happy to side with Bal de Nuit.
