Jilly Why is in a rich vein of form and can complete a hat-trick here, with Royal Envoy and Mondovi others to consider. The selection has won over this, the minimum trip, at both Nottingham and Thirsk, and was a ready winner of the latter earlier in the week. A 6lb penalty here does not look enough to stop her going in again and she can prevail. Royal Envoy made the most of a plumb draw when beating the in-form Dorn Dancer at Thirsk last time and has conditions and trip to suit again here. He stayed on really well that day and he is clearly in with a shout again here but a 9lb rise is a tad offputting. Mondovi has been dropped 2lb since her British debut and whether it was her mark or the quicker ground that day that proved too much for her we will probably have more of an idea about after this race. Fantasy Explorer is now on a mark from which he can be very competitive, and with ground to suit he looks capable of going close. Mambo Spirit and Bahamian Bullet look a little too high in the weights now and preference here is for Jilly Why to go in again.
