Verdict
Alnadam was racing in much stronger company than this over fences last year but has failed to take advantage of a lower hurdles mark the last twice, though was not beaten far in a slightly better race at Wetherby. VOCAL DUKE is useful at this level and was returning from a long break when beaten a head by Applaus at Carlisle last month. He has more scope than the winner and can gain revenge on 2lb better terms. On To Victory won his last two starts in this class back in 2021 and has been racing in much stronger company though prospective punters would need to forgive a poor run at Taunton in December. Hurlerontheditch, a winner between the flags, has only run twice over timber and should have more to offer.
