Garcon Dargent has won twice between the flags but was pulled up on his hurdling debut. Greatness Awaits won on the Flat and took a big step forward over hurdles when runner-up to the useful Planet Legend at Kelso. He’s also entered at Haydock but this is his first preference. Benefact exceeded expectations when third at Newbury but was behind Great Samourai earlier at Taunton. UNCLE BERT is becoming expensive to follow but he is the clear form pick so gets another chance as Regally Blonde has yet to show an aptitude for hurdling. Intimate may be best of the rest.
