Strong Resolve, Wee William and Emperor Ross are the three that catch the eye here and Strong Resolve is taken to step up on a very encouraging second on his seasonal re-appearance. Twice a winner at Hexham during the summer, Wee William ran well after a three month absence at Bangor last month, just run out of it in the closing stages. He is a very consistent type and looks sure to run his race, receiving weight from his main rivals. Emperor Ross has not been seen very often in the last year or so, but re-appeared at Kelso last time and looked set to finish second having made much of the running until unseating his rider at the last. he has won eight races all told and despite now reaching the age of 11 is still talented. He will have come on for that recent run and can go well. Strong Resolve has not won for two years but has slipped down the handicap and ran a blinder on his re-appearance at Carlisle, only run out of it in the closing stages by the well handicapped Twelve Paces. Strong Resolve can go one better here.
