Verdict
Newcomers My Petra and Nelsons Column are worthy of note here up against the first time out winner Dubai Around, and My Petra is taken to score on her debut and take advantage of the weight she receives from her rivals. Nelsons Column had a successful summer on the Flat and had wins at Ripon, twice, and Beverley to his credit. He will enjoy the quick surface and looks a live contender. Any market move should be heeded and a bold showing is expected. Dubai Around is a maiden on the Flat but was backed to score on his hurdling debut at Kelso and duly did so, forging clear in the closing stages. He is respected but may find the weight concession beyond him as he takes on sppedy types who were his superior on the level. My Petra was arguably slightly inferior to Nelsons Column on the Fkat but won at Windsor over a mile and a half so stamina should not be a problem. She is admirably consistent and has finished only twice out of the frame in ten starts and hails from a yard that excels in readying hurdlers from the Flat. My Petra can make a winning hurdling debut.
