In depth

Verdict

A wide-open renewal. Seagrave Fox won twice on Tapeta earlier in the year and wasn’t disgraced over course and distance back on Turf last month, though was behind The Toff. Drafted goes on the shortlist having finished a fair third at Doncaster 12 days ago on similar going but RENESMEE has yet to run a bad race. She’s been a shade keen in her races to date but has had a break and is handicapped to go close in this if she settles better – the yard won this 12 months ago. Ararat warrants another try over this trip after a promising reappearance at Newmarket while Calypso remains unexposed on Turf.
