Desert Flair can make the drop back in trip pay off, with Cheap N Chic, Macvel, Anna Pavlova and Marie making for an interesting juvenile contest. Richard Hannon continues to do well with his two-year-olds and Desert Flair can add to the stable's tally with this fast six furlongs likely to be in her favour. The daughter of Desert Style should really be suited to seven furlongs or a mile in time on breeding, but at this stage of her career, it could be that today's trip is about as far as she wants to go. The speed that she showed behind stablemate Nasheej at Newbury a fortnight ago would seem to uphold that theory, and she is selected to come good at the third time of asking. Cheap N Chic looks a big danger on her close third at Pontefract last time, and this half-sister to Golden Nun should be placed to good effect soon, if not today. Macvel hung under pressure on her latest outing on the Lingfield Polytrack but still finished a creditable second, while Anna Pavlova has the benefit of a debut run here last month when she was a highly encouraging fourth to Morzine. Marie caught the eye on her Newbury bow, staying on in fifth and will be of more interest when stepped up in trip, but we shall stick with Desert Flair.
