Sir Don, Whitbarrow and Currency are the three to look at here with Whitbarrow the selection. Sir Don has been running consistently of late and his effort at Leicester was commendable, showing good pace and keeping on well when headed. He looks sure to go well again. Runner up at Chepstow and Windsor on his last two starts, the seven year old, Whitbarrow is as genuine as ever. His effort at Windsor in a good sized field would suggest he is set for a long awaited return to the winner's enclosure and the handicapper has allowed him to run off the same mark so has given him every encouragement. A runner up over the course and distance three outings ago, top weight Currency has run respectably twice since at Pontefract and latterly Thirsk and is difficult to discount. Whitbarrow can make a long awaited return to the winners' enclosure.
