Verdict
Farley Star is a filly on the upgrade and could still be ahead of the handicapper despite a 5lb rise for a narrow victory over seven furlongs at Leicester last time. Although the winning margin is recorded as a neck, there was an element of comfort about it. On breeding this one mile trip is an unknown but the manner in which she went about her victory at Leicester suggests that eight furlongs will not be a problem. Obezyana achieved his first victory in three years that win adding to a fine effort at Newmarket on his penultimate start. The veteran Stoic Leader races off a 4lb higher rating to the mark he achieved his recent victory off. The form was franked when Hula Ballew subsequently scored off the same mark. White Deer is worth noting in the market. He has failed to encounter his favoured fast surface this season and an easy mile gives him a squeak. Farley Star is nominated to land it.
