    Verdict

All of these step up in trip with the exception of REMAADD. The latter won a maiden over a mile at Goodwood in a canter and should prove up to this level before taking up an entry in the Group 2 Royal Lodge. Al Musmak was no match for the winner in a Listed race over 7f at Ascot but is weighted to get the better of Hot Fuss while the Ballydoyle colt Portland will find this easier than his latest task in a Group 2 at the Curragh. Dewhurst entry Macduff made a winning debut at Newmarket and is worthy of consideration but Chester winner Marcella looks up against it.
