      Verdict

      Provenance has gone up 6lb since his narrow win over 7f at Sandown but looks a typical Sir Michael Stoute improver and she'll be a valuable commodity when her racing career is over. But LOCKHART also appears a progressive sort and only had to be pushed out to take a Pontefract maiden last month, despite still showing signs of inexperience. He gets 8lb from the Stoute filly and that could make all the difference. Championship has been running well but gets no respite from the handicapper. Stablemate Showpiece is coming down the weights, however, and makes more appeal than Kevin Ryan's pair Lesha and Galvanize.
