The lightly-raced Emmaus deserves a crack at this higher level having justified favouritism in a Listed race at Leicester when well ahead of Lahore. But there are questions to answer on this quicker surface, which clearly suits Tabarrak. Richard Hannon’s gelding failed to handle the mud on his reappearance but bounced back when outbattling Mubtasim over this course and distance four weeks ago. DUTCH CONNECTION has won three times at this level and also a Group 2. Connections will have been delighted with his fourth in the Lockinge and that is the stand-out form here. D'bai ran well behind The Tin Man at Windsor and won in Dubai at the start of the year so warrants respect.
