BOLD MARC can defy top weight here, in the process seeing off Lord Fidelio, Champain Sands and Eastern Hills. John Weymes' gelding knows his way home here, having scored twice over this course and distance. His two most recent runs have been more encouraging and off a mark of 70 he looks attractively handicapped despite top-weight. Lujano needs a market check on this return to action; Ryan Moore is an eye-catching jockey booking and one assumes that connections therefore mean business. Lord Fidelio is good on his day and he sauntered home at Catterick last month; he was bought back in for over three thousand and is not ignored off a mark of 68. Blinkers are tried again on Flying Silks, Eastern Hills should come on for a recent spin at Carlisle but only has one win to his name, whilst Morocchius' last win came on a flat track and he is not ignored off his perch of 60. Tanforan is thrown-in on his old form but recent efforts have been very lacklustre, so a bigger threat could be Champain Sands who is not a regular winner but he is well-handicapped now and represents a trainer in very good form. Not the strongest of handicaps for the grade and perhaps a good chance for Bold Marc to get back to winning ways.
