In depth

Verdict

BENJAMIN THOMAS has been beaten a total of three lengths in five starts and is unlucky not to have won by now. He's at home on soft going and can see off the challenge of Peach Melba. Mark Johnston's filly was beaten a head at Carlisle in May and was unlucky in-running at Chelmsford so looks certain to give a good account. Mio Ragazzo didn't show much at Newcastle but is entitled to come on for the experience though Mac O'polo did better on his debut at Chester where he ran on after missing the break.
