Verdict
American Craftsman has improved with every run and made most over this trip at Beverley last week. He has a 6lb penalty to overcome and faces much softer conditions. Brimham Rocks won at Wolverhampton early last month and didn't get the best of runs in a better race at York next time though he's another untested on this sort of ground. Zamadance has only won on Polytrack though has finished in a place on ground with some give while Critical Thinking is another who has only won on an artificial surface. NORDIC COMBINED won over a mile at Thirsk on soft ground on his final start last season and though eventually well beaten on his reappearance over 1m4f at York he'll have come on for the run and looks the one to be on.
