In depth

Verdict

Sovereign Duke won over 1m6f on fast ground at Sandown but handles this easier surface. El Picador will have stamina to prove but is proving a consistent sort over middle-distances. Arctic Fox is clearly in great heart and bids for a hat-trick of course victories. He wasn’t disgraced over 2m at York last season but FRANKENSTELLA is a proven stayer and has been lightly campaigned this season. He thrives when the going is on the soft side of good and can make a winning return from a break ahead of Real Terms, another chasing a three-timer, and Haizoom. This would be a minimum trip for Run For Oscar but he won’t have travelled over from Ireland unless fancied by connections while the three-year-old Levitate won over this trip at Thirsk.
