Buridan made a winning handicap debut at Newmarket a fortnight ago and has leading claims. But LASHABEEH also won a handicap at the the first time of asking when successful at Leicester last month and with Roger Varian’s yard firing-in the winners this week, the latter may come out best. Madrinho escapes a penalty for winning an apprentices’ race at Kempton but is upped in class while King Robert showed signs of a resurgence when placed at Doncaster a week ago having slipped down the weights and is preferred to Athollblair Boy.
