MYSTIC FLIGHT didn't attract much support over a mile at Newbury but it made no difference as he powered away once hitting the front at the furlong pole. Today's shorter trip won't be a problem and he can defy his penalty. Strategist made a very promising debut at Ascot last July and was an odds-on chance at Salisbury the following month but fluffed his lines completely. He hasn't been seen since so something was probably amiss and he could still turn out to be useful. Tahreek was only fifth at Kempton on his reappearance but ran very much better than his finishing position suggests and, with that under his belt, looks a major player. Cashel should have more to give but this looks tougher than his two runs to date.
