Go Well Spicy defied a penalty to win a novices' event at Doncaster last time though had fallen victim to Lili Wen Fach at Chepstow earlier. Dark Optimist landed a maiden over 5f at Salisbury back in May while both Keep Busy and Havana Dawn are novice winners over today’s trip. Corndavon Lad was less than convincing over 6f recently though is still preferred to stablemate Lexi The One while IVA REFLECTION has only raced over the minimum trip so far including when well beaten in the Windsor Castle at Ascot. But Tom Dascombe’s charge will be more at home at this level and with an apprentice’s allowance helping his cause now handicapping for the first time, he gets the vote.
