        Verdict

        REPUTATION is asked to shoulder joint topweight but arrives on the back of three sterling efforts, most recently a fast-closing runner-up in a hot Class 2 Newmarket handicap. This first attempt at a mile looks a sensible experiment and hopefully the Royal Applause gelding can go one better. Arcanada did extremely well to overcome a plethora of problems when delivering over course and distance last month and another bold bid is anticipated off a 4lb higher mark. Quicker ground should not prove an issue and he's an obvious danger. Three-year-olds are now tacking their elders regularly and both Ginger Fox and Absolutio should represent the generation effectively here.
