Nose The Trade takes quite a drop in class here and could well take advantage. Although the majority of his wins have come on the sand, he has proved himself to be a very capable performer on turf and races off the same mark as when third in the Victoria Cup. He led home those who raced on the far side at Royal Ascot and looks the one to beat here. The main dangers appear to be Lord Protector, just behind him at Ascot, and Eyecatcher, who has more scope than most but does not look particularly well treated on his handicap debut.
