Verdict

A 2lb rise in the weights does not look to be enough to halt the progress of Flipando, who is selected in preference to Bohola Flyer and Celtic Thunder, who can spearhead the challenge from the rest. Under My Spell is another that is holding her form well at the moment and should make another bold bid again today. However, she is now up 6lb from her Leicester success and looks to have a bit to prove at this level. Times Review is also appears to be in the grip of the assessor at the moment and may be best watched this afternoon. In contrast to Bohola Flyer, who has thrived on racing of late and should not be too far away if handling this first visit to a northern course. Celtic Thunder is still relatively lightly raced and has posted a few bits of form that gives him place claims here. However, nothing makes as much appeal as Flipando, who has shown a good level of progression this season and is entitled take his chance in this grade again. The fact that he has failed to get his head in front since winning a maiden at Newcastle last season has meant that the assessor still has work to do in getting to grips with Flipando and he can make the most of a fair chance at the weights today.
