Although the Wokingham form has already taken a knock or two, Dazzling Bay has a cracking chance of reversing recent form with Circuit Dancer and is selected in the hope that he can bounce back to something like his best. The admirable Quito, along with Chookie Heiton, will also do their bit to make sure that this is no easy task for the selection and add further spice to another competitive heat on Haddock's most valuable day of the Flat season up to date. Whereas it will also be dangerous to rule out Continent if the long lay off has rekindled the enthusiasm for racing for the David Nicholls-trained gelding. However, he has tended to need his first outing in recent seasons and may be best watched today. Tom Tun will have his supporters now that there is some ease in the ground, but he will need the rest to perform well below their best if he were to reverse York form with Quito. Dazzling Bay also has form liked in with his David Chapman-trained rival and will also have to work hard to get the better of the old-boy this afternoon. Nevertheless Dazzling Bay is 13lb better off on last season's Ayr Gold Cup form and can provide the key to the race if there is no appreciable deterioration in the state of the ground overnight.
