Ofaraby, Baltic Blazer, Vicious Prince and La Sylphide are the ones to concentrate on here and the vote is given to Ofaraby. The selection has run better than the bare form suggests on his last two outings at Chester and Epsom. He should go well on this more straightforward track and although he would appreciate a little bit more cut in the ground he looks capable of a big run. Baltic Blazer won well when defeating Margery Daw at Windsor, and although this is slightly more difficult he should go well. La Sylphide could be interesting here as she is in good heart at present after running well for a long way at York behind Balkan Knight last time, and with the drop in trip a big plus for her she has to be on the shortlist. Vicious Prince was disappointing last season but did shape encouragingly when returning from a lengthy break at Thirsk last time. This is a difficult race for punters to call and a market move for La Sylphide could be significant, but Ofaraby has not had much luck in his last two runs and he is taken to gain compensation here.
