Trusted Mole goes unpenalised for his win in an apprentices' handicap at Leicester on Monday and is taken to follow up at the main expense of Cosmic Case and Party Ploy. The last mentioned was unlucky to come up against the seemingly well-handicapped Best Port at Redcar on Monday afternoon and has to be respected. He may be a bigger threat than Jim Goldie's Cosmic Case, who is 2lbs higher here than when dead heating with Toni Alcala at Ayr last month. Toni Alacala has himself been beaten since (by Jack Dawson at Musselburgh on Saturday) and meets Cosmic Case on the same terms as at Ayr previously. The normally consistent Isa'af was a bitter disappointment at Pontefract last week and is difficult to recommend judged by that effort and of more interest may be Next Flight, although he was behind Party Ploy at Redcar and looks held by that rival. Trusted Mole has an obvious chance though and is hard to oppose.
