This is wide-open and Convince is a tentative choice ahead of Full Spate, Dorchester, Distant Times, Mr Wolf , Pure Imagination and, maybe, Morgan Lewis. Convince bounced back to winning ways over five furlongs here last time and, from a three-pound higher mark, looks set to be competitive again, having won over six furlongs. Desert Opal is well-handicapped on form of two years ago and still retains enough ability to run well from his current mark, while Balakiref was expected to deliver but ran modestly last time and the jury is now out on him. Morgan Lewis hasn't won since scoring over course and distance last summer but, lightly-raced, could have more to come. Firenze is hard to assess based on his all-weather win, so give the betting market the once over. Full Spate is not far above a winning mark, so holds place claims, and Dorchester is back to a winning mark, but that came two years ago and he hasn't had much racing since. Last summer's winning form gives Distant Times a chance, while Mr Wolf is now back to a mark from which last autumn's form says he should have a say. Finally, Pure Imagination will appreciate the juice in the going and can be given a chance. However, for the winner, we will side with Convince.
