Blaklion finished sixth in the Grand National in April, when Lake View Lad and Ami Desbois both fell, and wasn’t entirely disgraced when fifth on his reappearance at Bangor. Aso was highly tried in the spring after seconds at Warwick and Kelso and also on his return to action at Cheltenham. Late Romantic is 4lb lower than when landing this last season but was behind Blaklion at Bangor. Prime Venture is a strong stayer but Dashing Perk is best over shorter trips and this may also stretch Psychedelic Rock. SMOOTH STEPPER goes well fresh and has won around here so gets a tentative vote.
