chased winner or handy, not always fluent, last 10th, well beaten 4 out
chased winner on inside or handy, ridden after 4 out, held 2 out, weakened last
made all, switched right before 2 out, driven and edged left flat, all out
chased leaders on outside, went 2nd from 8th, every chance when out jumped last, held flat, carried left, stayed on
Burrows Edge won the Lanzarote Hurdle over Kempton the season before last. It would be no surprise to see him run well on his chasing bow, despite a very long absence, but all of these had a similar rating over timber. Coconut Splash and KILTEALY BRIGGS are the two with chasing experience and it’s the latter who gets the nod as he looked to back on track with a close second at Aintree, though the former has been quite highly tried to date. Mint Condition was disappointing on his reappearance over hurdles at Carlisle.
