MASTEROFCEREMONIES can land this bread and butter handicap; possibly at the main expense of Stateside and Sarwin. Theonebox is also in with a shout for a place in the frame but has been well held off his current mark recently, so may struggle under top weight. Sarwin has also crept up the ratings after hitting a rich vein at the start of the season. He is a course and distance winner, though. And a betting move in his direction would be noteworthy. Regent's Secret is also worth a mention on that score, as he won the 2005 renewal of this race from a 9lb higher mark, so is no forlorn hope if he can turn back the clock. Stateside has broken her pelvis twice in her short career but justified the decision to keep her in training by winning at Ayr last month. Backing Richard Fahey's filly is not without risk but she is a determined character and is not out faced in this company. However, Masterofceremonies just edges the vote for a more adventurous option. The six-year-old has some solid form at this sort of level and, having already won his only previous start over this unique trip, James Moffatt's gelding could provide the key to unlocking a profit from this tricky contest.
