      Verdict

The outstanding performance of Karl Burke juveniles has been a highlight of the northern scene this season and the yard has a double chance here. Emu War improved from first to second start but jockey bookings indicate that the newcomer Fiskerton may well be the stable preferred. The market should prove a useful guide and both command respect. Nominal Event shaped well first time up at Chester and is a player, whilst both Esquire and Badosa are newcomers of interest from strong yards. It's an interesting affair but the experience of AMANCIO is taken to tilt the balance. The Channon gelding has taken time to find some form but did well to finish in the frame at Chester after a tardy stalls exit and looks to be going the right way.
