Ed Dunlop is a rare visitor to Hamilton and so Mith Hill has to be respected in this contest, and he is chosen to lead home Marias Magic and Sporting Gesture. The selection landed a hat-trick of wins last season, one on the turf and two on the all-weather at Lingfield. He returned to the Polytrack recently and after coming in for heavy support, finished well beaten in seventh. He was caught a bit flat footed in that contest and wasn't given a hard time when his chance had gone. We should see a different animal here today and he looks the one to beat. Marias Magic landed a Bath contest in great style last term and as she is very lightly raced she may show plenty of improvement this season. It is hard to belive Sporting Gesture didn't win a race last season as he has plenty of ability and consistency. He is down to a very favourable mark and should be involved in the finish. So a few fingers were burnt on Mith Hill last time but they get get their losses back today.
