        Verdict

        Howards Princess lacks a recent run, but is still expected to go close, however Mytton's Bell can take advantage of her fitness edge to land first prize, Ashes is also worthy of a mention. Mytton's Bell makes a quick reappearance after finishing well behind Joyeaux on Saturday night. She may have found the Haydock ground too soft and is better judged on her previous effort when third to Angelofthenorth on a better surface at Musselburgh. today's conditions will be ideal and she looks the one to beat. Howards Princess has earned top-weight with some decent placed efforts last season and if she is spot on for this she will be hard to keep out of the money. Ashes finished in front of the selection in that Musselburgh event, but will find it difficult to confirm the form at today's weights. However he is entitled to be the shake up, as is Blades Boy on the pick of last season's form. So a very tricky event, but Mytton's Bell looks the form horse and gets our vote.
