In depth

Verdict

Since the re-application of a visor, Avenue Of Stars has won two of his last three including on soft going last time at Carlisle. Ancient Astronaut ended a long losing run at Wolverhampton last month and conditions won’t be a problem but he’s 8lb higher back on Turf. SOMEONE EXCITING has yet to finish out of the frame here and deserves a first victory on the track. He’s been dropped a couple of pounds since his latest course and distance third but has run well enough on this surface in the past to suggest he won’t be inconvenienced. Gaelic Wizard also likes it here and Ticks The Boxes could run well at a price from a lowly mark.
