        Verdict

        Plenty of C&D winners in this including SPARKING, whose two Turf victories have been here. Tom Dascombe's mare is just 4lb higher than when scoring on heavy ground in July and Ross Atkinson's claim can help her score again. Ambitious Icarus is still a maiden after 14 starts and Richard Guest's charge is still looking a few pounds high while Rock Canyon, another whose two career victories have come on the track, isn't in the best of form and was engaged here yesterday. Jebel Tara hardly ever wins and Ptolemy ran a shocker at Thirsk last time but Reason To Believe would have a chance at his best as his two victories have been from higher marks than this.
