A modest handicap in which JENNY'S PRIDE is the selection and Hettie Hubble and Ask Dan are the others to make our short list. John Harris makes the long journey up from Leicestershire to take his chances with this filly and the hint is taken. A winner of a seller last time out, she beat a smart enough performer in Blue Noodles on the day. Hettie Hubble has dropped massively down the weights but ran one of her better races when placing in an apprentices handicap last time out. Ask Dan is a regular in moderate events of this nature. He is no great shakes though does appear to win in his turn. Elements is from a good family and is on handicap debut. If the market speaks positively it should not be ignored. Mohawk Ridge was the subject of a massive gamble at Musselburgh but was one of the first beaten on the day. Dark Echoes is tried at a half way house distance having failed to sparkle over sprint and middle distance trips. A humdrum event where stakes should be kept to sensible levels and for the winner, we recommend Jenny's Pride.
