Sunraider is bound to be popular with backers having run well when a close third behind Marcus Cicero in a maiden auction event over course and distance on his debut but he may have to settle for a place at best on faster ground and it may be worth taking a chance with one of the newcomers with KALYPSO KING getting the verdict ahead of Dance East. Jeremy Noseda's filly is a well bred daughter of Shamardal and comes from a yard that is more than capable of getting one ready first time out. Sylvester Kirk's Gallant Eagle has run creditably in both starts so far and the son of Hawk Wing should be thereabouts again, while Roger Charlton's Lost Cause needs to improve on the form shown on admittedly testing conditions at Leicester to take a hand. There are some interesting newcomers in the field here including the Michael Jarvis-trained Robinson Cruso, a son of Footstepsinthesand, who could easily be good enough to win this but preference is for Kalypso King. Richard Hannon has a fine record with his juveniles, particularly here at Windsor, and the son of Giant's Causeway makes plenty of appeal on pedigree so may be worth chancing first time out.
