Hoof It makes his seasonal debut and was runner-up in this last year before winning at Goodwood. Naggers is now 13lb higher than when scoring at Thirsk in May while Flying Pursuit, Sharp Defence and Dark Defender are all upped in class off higher marks having won their respective latest starts. Both War Department and Classic Seniority scored over 7f last time while Red Pike has something to find with MUNTADAB on earlier running at Ripon. The latter ran below par in the Wokingham at Ascot last month but was narrowly beaten in tougher sprints than this before that and should go close again back at this level. Six Strings is lurking at the bottom of the weights and has plenty of scope for improvement.
