In depth

Verdict

Soft ground proved no hindrance to the progressive HEE HAW when landing a double with last month’s course and distance success. He’s worth sticking with in this. Gilmer should also go well again having won at Ayr for his new yard but Eccleston came up just short when favourite at Doncaster last time and he gets a change of headgear for this with blinkers replacing the more usual visor. Harwoods Volante was runner-up here recently but never looked like catching the winner.
