Touch of Ivory has more to do under his 6lb penalty for landing a Redcar handicap last time and is probably best watched in a race where the vote goes to Markestino, who is preferred to Peephole. The selection is lightly raced having had just the five career starts and looks to be potentially well treated returned to turf on a low mark having shown improved form on the all-weather of late. Inchdhuaig has run well in better company than this but would probably prefer more cut in the ground. Wednesdays Boy is another that would probably want a softer surface, while Gigs Magic showed signs of a revival at Musselburgh last time but is hard to recommend on the balance of his recent form. Queen Jean was well held off her new mark last time and may struggle to give weight away all round on ground that is faster than ideal and of more interest may be Nottingham winner Peephole, who handled a faster surface well enough at Leicester last time. Markestino looks interesting returned to turf though and he gets the vote.
