        Verdict

        The short list contains Charlie Kennet, Let Slip and Red Contact, with the vote going to Charlie Kennet. Just two pounds above his Leicester winning mark, Charlie Kennet looks competitive today, and he has won on the all-weather. Parkview Love has not fully proven that he is at his best at this trip but he has form enough from his current rating to be considered. The lightly-raced Let Slip comes right into it based on his Sandown third last time, and having gone well here from a slightly a slightly higher mark two runs ago, Red Contact is entitled to plenty of thought too. Burgundy is not far above a winning mark and could go well if on one of his better days, but with King's Thought failing to sparkle since his Epsom win last year, we return to the selection, Charlie Kennet.
