    Verdict

The selection in this Listed race is Sir Michael Stoute's Tam Linn ridden by Robert Winston. He has only had the one run which was an impressive victory at Leicester in April and he is bound to improve considerably for that outing and can take this event. Chief danger may come from Luca Cumani's Futum who has just had the two outings. Last season he ran very well at Newmarket in September to finish within five lengths of Narvil and then reappeared when winning at Leicester at the end of April. He is open to plenty of improvement. Genari trained by Paul Cole looked like he needed the run at Sandown behind King's Head and could be involved here with some improvement. Spell Lasting appears to be out of his depth and cannot be said to have a major chance on recent form. The selection is Tamm Linn to be another for the Stoute-Winston combination.
