Verdict

Watch our for improvement from Paragons Folly but this may rest between Sapphire Girl and Ballinaragh Girl, with preference for the latter. Our pick caught the eye when second at Haydock in what was admittedly an ordinary maiden for the track. That said she shaped with promise and should improve for the run, while this stiffer finish may help a filly bred to get further. She's the only juvenile runner from the yard this term but looks to have a measure of ability and can provide them with a winner. Sapphire Girl will no doubt attract support, hailing as she does from strong connections, but she's looked in need of seven furlongs already and will be more interesting when tried in nursery company. That said this race lacks strength and she could keep on for second, possibly ahead of Paragons Folly. The only colt lining up needs to leave his debut form behind but that did come in a stronger race and Tom Eaves is an interesting jockey booking. Chestival stumbled badly at Chester and it remains to be seen whether that's left a mark and Nine Before Ten ran well on debut but is bred for Fibresand so that was no surprise; she needs to prove her effectiveness on the turf. The drop in trip will suit Upark Flyer, but the 'girls' may dominate this and Ballinaragh Girl is the pick.
