        Verdict

        This is a really open handicap in which Funfair Wane can prevail at the main expense of Ptarmigan Ridge and Joyeaux. The selection did nothing wrong when finishing a close third behind Divine Spirit last time and the form has since been well franked. He looks to be on a winning mark and should take plenty of beating. Ptarmigan Ridge is closely-matched with our selection on a form line through Melachrist but he is not easy to catch right and the percentage call is to take him on. Joyeaux was a close second behind El Potro last time but she is a frustrating type to follow and she is better on a softer surface. Katie Boo won well last time and should not be dismissed lightly, but we prefer the claims of Funfair Wane who certainly deserves to get his head in front.
