Badr looks a likely type on breeding and should be able to win this first time out unless Cannon Fire or King's Rock improve dramatically on their sole runs to date. The selection is a full-brother to the high-class US miler Glick and assuming he is ready for this debut should take all the beating in one of the season's longest two-year-old races to date. Cannon Fire shaped with promise on his debut at Sandown and should improve for that effort but whether he is capable of beating the selection remains to be seen. King's Rock ran a fair race at Beverley on his debut and is entitled to improve but the obvious choice looks to be Badr with possibly Cannon Fire to chase him home.
