      Verdict

      Royal Straight has been placed over shorter trips here of late but previous failures at middle-distances temper enthusiasm. Ebony Express scored in similar company at Musselburgh recently and should go well though Special Meaning looks to have stronger claims. The latter won a classified event over 1m4f at Newmarket last time and should make another bold bid raised only 2lb. ARGAKI carries a penalty for his recent win at Ayr but that came in better company than this and Keith Dagleish's charge can make it three in a row having been successful in a maiden at this track earlier.
