Jordaura is the only course and distance winner having scored comfortably in September from an 11lb higher mark but his recent efforts have been woeful to say the least. War Lord gained his only victory on the Flat at Thirsk a year ago though he also won over hurdles in October. Operateur's last success came from this mark two years ago and he's been in poor form on the Flat and over hurdles. Captain Rhyric's only placed runs in ten starts came when last of three and third of four, both on this track. Perci French makes his handicap debut having shown absolutely nothing but such is his trainer's form and reputation for improving his charges that he'll attract support. However, the form pick has to be CALL OF DUTY, who came with a late run to score over 1m2f at Ayr in April then finished strongly over the same track and trip a month later.
