Verdict

Fountain Of Youth won the first running last year at odds of 1/10 but didn't win again so Aidan O'Brien will be hoping BATTLE OF MARATHON can go on to better things after taking this. He's by War Front, the sire of Declaration Of War, and out of a Group 2 winner and with several major entries connections will be disappointed if he can't make a successful start. Puck Fair looks his main rival after her very promising debut behind Coto at Naas where she was in touch throughout and wasn't beaten far. Lupie came up against some useful types in his first three starts then appeared to find 6f beyond him at Naas last time and he'll be happier back over the minimum as will Anthem Alexander, who showed good speed over an extra furlong on her debut at the Curragh.
