Majuba is proving expensive to follow and we'll side with BEES RIVER to resign Kevin Ryan's charge to another defeat. The selection is open to improvement and she will probably be better for this surface than she was when running well with cut in the ground at Nottingham last time. This minimum trip looks her optimum for the moment, she has a good draw and with the yard having had a winner the other day it fuels confidence that she can get off the mark here. Majuba will doubtless go off favourite and has not been out of the first four in seven starts so far. He has been unlucky in running on a couple of occasions, so there are a couple of excuses, but he just seems to come to the end of his tether half a furlong out and looks vulnerable. Albaseet has raced only on soft ground so far and has performed with credit in three outings. He is kept to maidens rather than switching to handicaps and he looks likely to get competitive, though the yard is not in tremendous form. Simon Callaghan saddles Rare Art, who meets the selection on the same terms as when finishing just a head behind him at Nottingham, so clearly there may again be little to choose between the pair. Brian Meehan's Piste is certainly not out of it if finding any improvement on a decent Kempton run last time, but we will side with Bees River.
